Visit to FIL Guadalajara (MX) & Presentation at the UC-Mexicanistas International Colloquium
The last month of the year was busy! At the end of November, I visited one of the most dynamic events in the Spanish-speaking literary world: Mexico’s Feria Internacional del Libro de Guadalajara (FIL)—the largest book fair for Spanish speakers, and a global hub for authors, publishers, scholars, and readers. With its vibrant mix of cultural programming, international dialogue, and literary celebration, FIL offered a unique stage to talk about Serial Mexico and engage with others who are equally passionate about serial storytelling, Latin American media, and contemporary cultural criticism.

I presented at the XXVII International Colloquium of UC-Mexicanistas, an annual conference convening literary and cultural historians from the University of California system and beyond. This gathering was held in Guadalajara during the FIL to foster scholarly-public exchange and provided a valuable forum to discuss new research on Mexican literature, serialization, and transnational media cultures. I am grateful to the organizers of both FIL and the UC-Mexicanistas for this unforgettable experience.
